There is a sealed set of ball bearings with a rubber mount and frame bolted to the chassis of the car. At some point either the bearings or rubber mount will fail, even under normal use. Symptoms include vibration or a whine\/hum noise coming from the center of the car, and an audible clunk especially when pulling away from a stop. These are signs of a failing CSB and you should plan on replacing it soon.
