Description
There are four rubber mounts on the rear axle of the E8X / E9X that can be upgraded to a spherical. Two of them are on the rear subframe, and the two others are found on the rear knuckles. This sealed spherical control arm bushing replaces and upgrades each rubber mounts under the part number 33326763092.
What’s the benefit of replacing rubber mounts for sealed spherical bushings?
Rubber mounts allow for more flex and movement under load, which can negatively affect steering precision and alignment. Spherical bushings, being much stiffer, help maintain geometry, leading to improved responsiveness and handling, especially during cornering or under heavy loads.
Rubber mounts degrade over time due to exposure to heat, oils, and general wear, leading to cracking or tearing. Sealed spherical bushings are designed to handle extreme conditions and last longer without significant degradation.
Rubber mounts compress and stretch under stress, introducing unwanted play in suspension or drivetrain components. Spherical bushings provide minimal deflection, ensuring more consistent and predictable performance.
