These reinforcement plates are made to be welded. We recommend a professional installation. Failing to install these plates in the state of the art could result in useless work. In order to come into effect, the plates must be welded directly on the chassis. You can’t leave a gap in between.

Lastly, we strongly recommend you also reinforce the front and rear strut towers of your E46. These are two other well known weak spots of this car.
