When it comes to engine swaps for the MK1 platform, most builders default to older, less refined options that can be costly, hard to source, or lacking in modern technology. Our approach is different. By developing a swap kit around the 1.4T engine, we’re introducing a powerplant that offers more recent technology, better availability, and a fresh alternative to the usual MK1 builds.
To make this swap as seamless as possible, the entire kit was first developed in 3D. Every bracket, mount, and clearance was designed digitally to ensure proper fitment inside the tight MK1 bay. Using CAD allowed us to account for critical details such as driveline angles and component accessibility before ever building a physical prototype.
This process also made it possible to test multiple design iterations quickly, fine-tuning fitment and efficiency without wasted material. The end result is a swap kit that doesn’t just fit — it fits right. Every piece is engineered to make the 1.4T swap as seamless and durable as possible, giving builders confidence in both the performance and longevity of their project.
