Tech-53 Return & Refund Policy

General Refund Terms

  • Refunds issued by Tech-53 apply exclusively to the purchase price of the item(s) returned.
  • Shipping fees and other associated charges paid at the time of the original order are non-refundable.
  • Tech-53 does not reimburse the full order value under any circumstances.

Restocking Fee

  • All eligible returns and cancelled orders are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • Refunds will therefore amount to 85% of the original item value, excluding any shipping or handling charges.

Return Shipping & International Costs

  • Customers are responsible for all shipping and transportation costs incurred when returning item(s) to Tech-53.
  • As Tech-53 operates from Canada, international returns may be subject to additional duties, taxes, or customs-related fees imposed by carriers or border authorities.
  • These charges are not covered by Tech-53 and remain the sole responsibility of the customer.

Duties, Taxes, and Import Fees

  • All international orders may be subject to duties, taxes, and import fees imposed by the destination country.
  • These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the product price or shipping cost.
  • Customers are expected to pay these fees directly to the carrier or customs authority upon delivery.

Refused Deliveries

  • If a customer refuses delivery of their order due to unpaid duties, taxes, or fees, the shipment will be returned to Tech-53.
  • In such cases, Tech-53 is charged for all associated costs, including but not limited to:
    • Return shipping fees
    • Customs backcharges
    • Handling or processing fees
  • These costs will be deducted from the customer’s refundable amount.

Condition of Returned Items

  • Returned parts must be unused, untested, and uninstalled, and must remain in intact, original condition.
  • Tech-53 reserves the right to inspect all returned items upon arrival.
  • Eligibility for refund is determined solely at the discretion of Tech-53.
  • Returned parts may incur damage during transit, which can result in disqualification from refund eligibility.
  • Tech-53 is not responsible for damaged items under any circumstances.


Warranty policy 

Tech-53 ("Company") warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product under normal use and service conditions. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

WARRANTY PERIOD

This limited lifetime warranty begins on the date of purchase and continues for the operational lifetime of the product, as determined by Tech-53 in its sole discretion.

WHAT IS COVERED

This warranty covers only manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal use. The warranty applies solely to the Tech-53 product parts themselves and does not extend to any other components, systems, or damages.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does not cover and Tech-53 shall not be liable for:

Exclusions:

  • Misuse or Abuse: Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, or use beyond normal operating parameters
  • Improper Installation: Damage caused by improper installation, modification, or failure to follow installation instructions
  • Environmental Factors: Damage from extreme temperatures, humidity, corrosive environments, or exposure to chemicals
  • Normal Wear and Tear: Deterioration due to normal aging, wear, or cosmetic changes that do not affect functionality
  • Third-Party Products: Damage to other products or systems, whether caused by the Tech-53 product or otherwise
  • Consequential Damages: Loss of use, inconvenience, commercial loss, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Installation Costs: Labor costs, installation fees, removal costs, or reinstallation expenses
  • Shipping Costs: Transportation costs to and from service centers (except as specifically provided herein)
  • Acts of Nature: Damage from floods, earthquakes, lightning, or other natural disasters
  • Unauthorized Repairs: Products that have been repaired or altered by non-authorized personnel
  • Commercial Use: Products used in commercial, industrial, or rental applications (unless specifically designated for such use)

REMEDY

Tech-53's sole obligation and the purchaser's exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be, at Tech-53's option, to either:

  1. Repair the defective product at no charge for parts
  2. Replace the defective product with a new or refurbished product of equal or greater functionality

IMPORTANT: This remedy covers only the replacement or repair of the defective Tech-53 product parts. Installation, removal, reinstallation, or any associated labor costs are specifically excluded and shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.

WARRANTY CLAIMS

To make a warranty claim:

  1. Contact Tech-53 customer service with proof of purchase
  2. Provide product model number and description of the defect
  3. Follow return merchandise authorization (RMA) procedures if required
  4. Product may need to be returned for inspection at purchaser's expense

Tech-53 reserves the right to inspect any product claimed to be defective and to require return of the product as a condition of warranty service.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • TECH-53'S TOTAL LIABILITY under this warranty or otherwise shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product
  • NO CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES: Tech-53 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including but not limited to lost profits, damage to other property, or installation/removal costs
  • PARTS ONLY: This warranty covers only the Tech-53 product parts and specifically excludes all other damages, costs, and expenses

DISCLAIMER OF OTHER WARRANTIES

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY PROVIDED BY TECH-53. Tech-53 disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights
  • This warranty shall be governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction to be specified]
  • Any modifications to this warranty must be in writing and signed by an authorized Tech-53 representative
  • If any provision of this warranty is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect
