We are the only place that offers 1.625″ diameter pistons. All of our competitors supply 1.25″ pistons.
This translates into more clamping pressure, and balanced front to rear bias. Nobody else offers this level of performance for A1 chassis cars, period!

Huge weight reduction (unsprung weight) Vs cast iron calipers. For the 10.1″ kit the Girling 54’s weigh in at about 10.6lbs, and for the 11″ kit the Girling 60’s weigh in at about 13lbs.
Tech-53 big brake kit calipers weigh in at 3.9lbs: This is a difference of close to 60%, and 70% respectively on crtitical unsprung weight.

The forged billet bodied caliper delivers high-strength clamping force and positive stopping power. Four stainless steel pistons provide fully balanced pad loading, along with the corrosion resistance and thermal retardant qualities of the stainless alloy that will keep your calipers cooler and running trouble free. Calipers work perfectly with 22mm or upgradable 23.81mm OE master cylinders. (Audi Masters are a straight bolt on for a firm pedal feel for racing applications)
This kit fits all A1 chassis cars : Mk1 Golf/Rabbit, Mk1 & Mk2 Scirocco, pick-up, Mk1 Jetta, and Mk1 convertible. and are a straight bolt on application, no need for 16V carriers. you will probably need to upgrade to a 22mm master cylinder, if not already on your car.
The 256mm rotors will clear 14″ OEM VW wheels with 10mm spacers. This has been tested and validated. Brake backing plate trimming might be required. The 280mm rotors will need 15″ diameter wheels, and might need spacers, depending on wheel type.
Link for PDF file for wheel clearance templates: Print to scale on cardboard, and then cut on lines. Use the 57mm spigot inside your wheel center, and sweep template on the underside of your wheel to check for proper clearance.
Kit comes as a complete bolt on solution
2X 4 piston calipers, with all the necessary fasteners, and Banjo bolts
2X Caliper adapters that will bolt on to the Mk1 spindles. Choose your option of either 256mm or 280mm rotor configuration.
2X Fully custom stainless steel braided hose DOT approved, with proper length and fittings to fit the OE mounting points , and grommets, for a bolt on application Made in USA.
1X set of Hawk brake pads with either HPS, or DTC60 compound;
DTC60 should be track only pads
This kit comes complete, LESS OEM rotors, if no lightweight rotors are chosen ; You can source them locally; Use P/N 321 615 301D (16V Scirocco vented rotors) for the 256mm 10.1″ configuration, OR P/N 535 615 301 (To be used with 280mm / 11 ” Corrado G60 rotors)
