Do I need a hard line conversion?
There's two reasons why you would need to change the brake hard lines to stainless steel braided.

f you're lowered enough to scrape on asphalt, chances are your hard lines will need to be relocated. It doesn't take many hits before they burst open. Use this kit to route your brake lines higher, tucked wherever you'd like.

This kit is ideal to replace all the rusty hard lines, and also to prevent this scenario from happening again. Stainless steel braided lines do not rust.

What's included?
We replace all 4 brake hard lines from the ABS module to the anchor points on the body not including the factory rubber lines. If you wish to completely refresh your brake line setup we also have front and rear stainless steel braided lines. Both items together will cover the entire braking system with all the necessary fittings.

Why are the lines in this kit not going directly from the master cylinder to the calipers?
If a leak appears in a brake line during an accident, or because of road debris, one would only need to replace the brake line from the anchor points to the caliper, instead of routing a 100+ feet long line across the entire body a second time. Most people already have front or rear stainless steel braided lines, as it’s a common performance solution for the braking system. This would allow them to keep in place the lines they’ve already paid for, and only replace what was still untouched from the factory.

I want all my brake lines to be stainless steel braided, from the master cylinder to the calipers.
This kit replaces solely the hard lines, not any soft lines. If you wish to replace all the brake lines on your E46 you would also need our front and rear brake lines.

1st line is front driver section.
2nd line is front passenger section.
3rd line is rear driver section.
4th line is rear passenger section.
