If you're looking to swap a 1.4 TSI (CZTA) in your MK1, this is what you need. This kit includes a bunch of Tech-53 parts that will make this engine swap a real walk in the park. We successfuly put together a solution to all the problems we faced when doing it ourselves. Our engine mounts will work with either the 02J or the factory 0A4 manual transmission that came with the 1.4 TSI.

Our mounts are fabricated from 100,000 PSI steel with machined accuracy that reflects a decade of learning what works—and what doesn't, with a fully FEA-validated design. All parts were CAD-modeled from 3D-scanned engine and chassis data to ensure maximum clearance, precision positioning and optimal oil pan clearance. Entirely TIG welded in house and covered with a lifetime warranty.

The downpipe is constructed of 3" T304 stainless steel and proudly TIG welded in house. It ends with a 2.5″ V-Band flange and a second bung is available upon request.

Every ECU ships already flashed with our proprietary street tune and tested in our facility. Ready to install—no additional programming required. Conservative wheel horsepower numbers you can trust : 168 HP @ 4599 RPM, 245 lb-ft @ 2483 RPM. The N80 valve is removed, Immobilizer is deleted and all unnecessary ancillaries are disabled. Please note that you must use a GEN1 donor (2016-2017 Jetta with Engine code CZTA & ECU code MED17.1.21). The GEN2 2018-2024 Jetta and Golf (engine code CAXA, DJXA & ECU code MED17.1.27) are not supported at the moment.

The harness is a genuine standalone system that operates completely independently of your chassis electronics. Our harness doesn't rely on chassis CANBUS signals. This means simplified installation, easier troubleshooting, and complete independence from aging chassis electronics. Your engine management won't be affected by chassis electrical issues. Every harness features fully sleeved wiring throughout—not as an upgrade, but as standard. Premium connectors, careful routing, and weather-resistant construction deliver an OEM-quality appearance that adds real value to your build. It includes a factory VW fuel pump controller, a 12V wiring output for your fuel pump (Bosch 044 recommended), a fully functional OBD-II port, an analog tachometer signal output and an oil pressure switch provision for warning light. Again, this is only compatible with the engine code CZTA. 

Our clutch cable conversion kit includes a clutch cable, made in Europe from an OEM manufacturer, an actuator and a bracket for a completely bolt-on application.

The fuel system hardware kit includes an OEM fuel filter regulator (6.6 bar), a pair of stainless steel brackets with rubber lining to mount your fuel pump and fuel filter, a Banjo M12 to 5/16" barb for your Bosch 044 pump, an Acorn nut as an M12 banjo cap-off and a M18×1.5 to 5/8" barb  fitting for your tank to pump connection. We've done the engineering validation and bundled the correct spec components. Thread pitches match. Barb sizes are correct. Pressure regulation is dialed to factory spec.

Our turbo coolant inlet T-fitting taps the cool side of the radiator to supply fresh coolant to the turbo bearing housing before it enters the block circuit. The nipple sizing is the same as factory so the OEM turbo coolant pipes connect easily.

The reverse light switch solution has been developed during our own 1.4 swap, we machine an OEM switch so it doesn't interfere with anything. You can thread it directly where it's supposed to be for fully functional reverse lights.

When you buy this kit, we press in two OEM rubber engine mounts in the right clocking. You won't have to figure out anything, the bolts are going to line up perfectly when you're going to sit the engine in the bay.

Lastly, all the necessary bolts and nuts are included. All of which are grade 10.9 and zinc plated.
